Where to start, I think Hello is good…. Sorry I haven’t written on here since December last year, many things in life got in the way and I have been working so much I haven’t always had the time to sit down and write. To be totally honest with you all, I really fell out of love with writing and sharing my life, but now I feel in a slightly better place and really want to begin writing and sharing again!
Please let me know if you all have any ideas what you would like me to cover on here and I will endeavour to talk about any subjects…. Life has been full of ups and downs since Christmas, but I will not go into major details as there’s some things I would like to keep private for the sake of my babies who may eventually read mamas blog. I really want to make an effort again in between working and family life, we haven’t done much too exciting since my last blog post in December other than plodding on with daily life in our little blended family bubble. One really exciting thing has happened, we have a place for Megan for her secondary school in September, it wasn’t her first choice but she is super excited and a little nervous to head up to secondary school.
So as I said I did really fall out of love with my writing, I just couldn’t find the motivation to write anything and I just didn’t really know what I wanted to write about anymore! But we have lots of things we want to do as a family in coming months, we are hoping to redecorate our stairs and landing in the house which we have been waiting to get sorted, because you know cost of living crisis and all that jazz….Ideally we would love to move but at the moment its taken a back burner till we can organise things here, we are in May and can’t believe how fast this years whizzing by, we have so many ideas for the house and garden and really need a lottery win…Ha,Ha,Ha!
I’ve been in a bad place mentally recently due to one reason and another but the support I have around me from Greg, the girls, my friends and extended family is amazing and I couldn’t be more thankful. Next month is a year since I became a working mama again and I can’t believe how fast its all gone its absolutely crazy but I couldn’t feel more settled, my work mates are so incredibly supportive and generally awesome! We’ve had a few nights out recently and its just what I needed and it feels amazing to be free to do that now I am getting stronger and more confident in myself.
Anyway lets get on to some more exciting things, birthdays are coming for Megan whose turning 11 this year and I turn 38 which I thought would make me anxious as I am another year closer to 40 but I am ok with that. For my birthday this year I am actually doing something super exciting, I am off to London for a night away with my besties and Greg’s sister to watch Magic Mike live at the hippodrome casino in central London and I am so dam excited, I have never once been away with the girls and having a supportive and loving partner really helps my confidence. I am very biased but having Greg in my life has really made me find me again and do things I wouldn’t have normally done which is awesome and I couldn’t be more thankful to him for helping me build myself back up and find me again. I have done so many things I would never have done and I am a lot stronger and braver for it….
With it almost half way through the year now its slowly coming up to festival season and we’ve just received exciting news that we’ve been invited back for the second year to Camp Bestival Shropshire which is so exciting and we can’t wait to cover the weekend and let you all know about it, but to read about our experience last year please check out our blog from the event. We actually have an event to cover this weekend which is amazing and I am super excited to be breaking out the camera again as I have actually missed taking proper photos that aren’t on the iPhone. Its a small local charity event a friend of mine has organised with mine and the girls fave local band The Dirty Rockin Scoundrels for Whizz Kids charity which is very exciting, for more information on this event do check out this link https://www.facebook.com/events/941497123709300?ref=newsfeed
